February 2008.

Josh and I had better seats for the game tonight between
Liberty University (14-14) and Virginia Military Institute (13-13).

VMI led 6-0 and 19-6 early in the game. Liberty tied the game at 34 with less than 2 minutes left in the first half and took their first lead 46-45 with 16 minutes left in the game. With 6 minutes left, Liberty was up by 7. Reggie Williams, a top scorer the last two years in all of college hoops took over. Finishing with 34 points, Williams gave VMI the lead with 3 minutes left. With 33 seconds left, down by 2 at 79-77, Liberty held the shot looking for a 3-pointer to take the lead.

Here's what I saw:

Great angle, huh? It was an airball.
Special thanks to the guy in front of me.

Liberty got back within 2 points with 3 seconds left.
VMI missed two free throws and set up one final shot.

The ref changed the time on the clock from 3.8 to 2.0.
Liberty had little time to get off a good shot.

Final Score. Great game. Could have been better...
