Liberty University (14-14) and Virginia Military Institute (13-13).
VMI led 6-0 and 19-6 early in the game. Liberty tied the game at 34 with less than 2 minutes left in the first half and took their first lead 46-45 with 16 minutes left in the game. With 6 minutes left, Liberty was up by 7. Reggie Williams, a top scorer the last two years in all of college hoops took over. Finishing with 34 points, Williams gave VMI the lead with 3 minutes left. With 33 seconds left, down by 2 at 79-77, Liberty held the shot looking for a 3-pointer to take the lead.
