Gold City in Concert; The Front Row!

September 2008.
.
We found out just a few days ago that Gold City would be in concert (for free!) about an hour from our house. It wasn't on Gold City's tour schedule and it wasn't advertised so we didn't know what to expect.
.
We arrived about 15 minutes before service time and the church was packed; we were told the only open seats were in the front row!

This is not zoomed in!

They stood less than six feet away from us. No, the sound wasn't deafening; the speakers were aimed behind us. The kids were great. We weren't a distraction to anyone behind us (though I'm not so sure that we weren't distracting to the members of Gold City!).
.
.
One of their classics, "I'm Not Giving Up."
.
.
Here's a newer song, "Preach the Word."
.
.
I debated posting this classic, "One Scarred Hand," because I didn't get the ending. But its one of my Mom's favorites, so here it is.
.
.
They closed with a stirring rendition of their #1 song from 1988, "Midnight Cry."

Justin sported a new sweater given to him by his midwife.

Josh wore a new shirt sent by Grandpa Jim.
