ChristianCounselingAdvice.com

new website announcement!

Over the last few years, I've received a number of requests for consultation and supervision that falls outside the scope of my professional practice. After sharing some of the responses given, it was suggested that I start a website that includes some of those responses as well as an opportunity for others to interact.

http://www.christiancounselingadvice.com/

Christian. While I currently practice and teach in a secular environment, I cannot separate my own faith from that practice. As such, the information found on ChristianCounselingAdvice.com is consistent with a Christian world-view.

Counseling. The purpose of this site is to present helpful information related to counseling. While some degree of biblical and theological studies may be found here, that is not the focus of this site.

Advice. Due to the nature of internet communication, this site is not designed to provide treatment. Rather, the focus is to offer advice; advice that may or may not apply to all situations.
Who will benefit from this website?

- Pastors looking for books related to counseling and pastoral care issues.
- Family members looking for information about diagnosis and treatment for psychiatric or behavioral disorders.
- Youth workers in need of support in addressing inappropriate sexual behaviors with their youth group.
- Teachers looking for resources to help students who may be struggling with thoughts of suicide.
- Parents struggling with a defiant teen.
- Couples in need of marital enrichment ideas.
- Men’s ministry leaders looking to start up accountability groups.
- Teens who are concerned about the risky behavior of their friends.
- Grandparents interested in learning how to identify drug abuse.
- Concerned friends and family worried about how and when to report suspected abuse or neglect.

It is my goal to partner with churches and Christian ministries to provide professionally competent licensed counseling and consultation from a distinctly Christian perspective.
