Our 10th Anniversary Trip to Key West

June 2009.

We drove down to Key West to celebrate our 10th anniversary.

The views were just breath-taking.

Long stretches over open water.

Grandpa Jim helped us get an awesome deal on a great new resort,

From our balcony, we had a "partial view" of the ocean.

We were in the third building that faced these two looking out to the ocean.

The buildings from the ocean-side.

A view of the dock.

Justin loved to play in the sand.

Lisa and Justin overlooking the ocean at the close of our first day.

We walked to the Southernmost point of the continental US;

just 90 miles from Cuba.

We enjoyed (most of) our walk down Duvall Street, including this gallery.

The next morning, we walked around the resort and saw this hammock with a beautiful view. Lisa thought Justin and I should sit for a picture.

A guy passing by lamented not having his video camera to capture the moment.

A view from behind the hammock.

Walking along the shore.

We took a trip on the glass bottom boat.

Justin awake.

Justin asleep.

Some beautiful views of the fish and the coral reef.

I wondered how they got so many fish to congregate around the boat.

Then I realized that the ship staff were throwing Cheetos overboard!

My pose with an old salt.

Notice I'm eating a piece of key lime pie on a stick that's been dipped in chocolate!

During our third day, we drove by some landmarks on our way out of town.

Here's the lighthouse.

And here's the start of US-1!

On our way out of the keys, we stopped at this beautiful spot in Marathon.

The sandbar stretched our for hundreds of yards.

Justin and I with the ocean behind us.

Justin (and Lisa) enjoy getting their feet wet.

We stopped for lunch at the Islamorada Fish Company.

There were fish swimming right by our table.

Joined by some other (I'm guessing less-friendly) mates.

Justin was woo-ing all the ladies sitting around us.

We finally got a picture together!

Time to leave for home!
