Friday we left the kids at Aunt Sara's house with Aunt Sara and Grandma Ruth Ann.

We drove to Chapel Hill. After driving through the campus of the University of North Carolina, we gave ourselves a self-guided tour of The Carolina Inn.

After lunch, we went on to Durham, where we stayed. That evening, we went for a tour of the Duke University campus and walked through the Sarah P. Duke Gardens.
We saw many local animals, including this herron.
The Duke Chapel was just beautiful.
We decided we'd attend the Worship Service there Sunday morning.
The entire campus was beautiful. I think this is a dorm.

We finished off the evening with a trip to Whole Foods and dinner at Cinellis Italian Restaurant.
